  1. I visited PEI back in 2003 and happened to meet Leon at Avonlea. I still have your Down by the Bay CD and always have enjoyed listening to it. I’d love to come back to PEI again and share some Island Blue with you

  2. We saw Mike and Leon at a ceilidh at the Sterling Women’s Institute at Stanley Bridge on PEI on October 4, 2016, and it was one of the most wonderful nights of music and fun in our lives. Our faces hurt from smiling! We purchased the “Songs from the Shanty” CD, and brought it home to share with our friends in lower Alabama. We stayed in New Glasgow Highlands RV park, and all the people we met there were wonderful!
We are located near a community of Acadians and Creoles on Mobile Bay, and we need a lot more people like you, and more of the music like you create.
We hope to return to PEI next summer and enjoy more of your unique culture. We loved PEI, but it was your music that makes us want to return.
    Best Regards,
    Richard and Marilyn

  3. Thanks for the music and the memories. Didn’t want to leave. The ceilidh at St Mark’s Hall Friday and at Stanley Bridge on Sat nite were the highlights of our visit to the Island.

  4. We were at St. Mark’s Ceilidh last night (Sept 8, 2016) and thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Wonderful evening.

  5. Hey Leon, we saw you several times at Avonlea Village but heard they have changed everything…too bad! But we are going to catch you on Canada day at North Rustico, coming from Ontario to enjoy PEI mussels and your great music!

  6. My brother gave me a copy of “Between the Jigs and the Reels” and I just love it. I love your original tunes – so melodic and Canadian. As a long -time harmonica player who loves to play jigs, reels hornpipes etc on harmonica and guitar together I am always on the hunt for new ones I like and have added Debbie’s Waltz, the Irish Jigs and Irish Polkas to my repertoire. Time to tackle some of those original songs. Thanks again for a great Canadian album ! 🙂

  7. Beautiful night tonight in Charlottetown. The place was rockin’.
Interaction was fantastic. Can’t wait to hear the cd we bought.

  10. What a pleasant surprise and chance happening to catch your show while we were visiting Avonlea Village on our trip to PEI the other day. Thank you for telling us about the ceilidh in Stanley Bridge! We were a bit late, but caught the last half of your performance. Your music really captures the pride and joy Islanders have of their island and their roots. Thank you for sharing that with everyone. We definitely fell in love with PEI and hope to return again in the near future.
